About me
I am a qualified teacher but became a philosophical teacher-educator after encountering philosophical enquiry over 20 years ago, facilitating dialogue ever since in my classrooms, schools, community and at home with my family. I work for SAPERE, the national charity for philosophical enquiry, developing training opportunities for schools and other organisations; I am also part of the P4C.com resource editorial team and a SAPERE Level 1 and 2 Trainer.
I work with young people and adults in schools and wider society, to enable them to discuss ideas that matter to them, to think and understand themselves better. A recent P4C (Philosophy for Children) session with some Cubs, explored the question: Who owns nature?
People can talk to me about Oracy, finding conceptual and contestable ideas in their curriculums, resources to facilitate philosophical discussion and SAPERE training opportunities.
